How do you know if squid rings are raw?

i bought unbreaded squid rings by ocean prime they are white does that mean they are cooked? Ive never cooked calamari before so im actually doing a marinated calamari and the recipe says cook until white so does that mean the ocean prime are already cooked? should i boil them for a while? it says simmer for 10 minutes until the calamari is white and tender, but it is white hmm im so confused
