Has anybody attended the annual Hawaii writers conference?

It takes place in August. I really want to go but it's kinda pricey. Well, if I don't attend this year then maybe next year. I'd love to mix with like-minded people (creative writers) on an exotic tropic Island and this type of event seems like something I'd really enjoy. If anybody has gone let me know about your experience...thanks!
